Existing Waterside Protection Overlay Zone will be basis for establishing
setback diminsions & use restrictions. New structures will be prohibited
within setback areas, with limits on vegetation removal.
Setbacks are measured from top-of-bank on both sides of waterways:
60 ft. setback on both sides for those designated perennial within floodway
40 ft. setback on both sides for those designaed perennial outside floodway
20 ft. setback on both sides of intermittent/seasonal waterways.
Zone will only apple to "affected parcels" within city limits. Will not be
applied to small, isolated parcels or where waterway protection issues
have been addressed as part of land use approval process.
11/2 4-8pm. Public workshop on proposal for interim setback protection
measures for open waterways. Hilyard Community Center, 2580 Hilyard.
4-6:15, property owner assistance; 6:30-6:50, staff presentation; 6:50 on -
12/12 6pm. Planning Commission Public Hearing, Eugene City Council Chambers.
