Dear Friends and Petition Supporters,
First, thanks for all your great and continuing support for the
Trust The People petition! Our grassroots effort has collected more
than * 20,000 * signatures so far asking George W. Bush to concede!
Congratulations! Ringing Bells! Horns and Whistles! Fireworks!
But meanwhile, CNN is saying today, "Everybody's asking when Gore is
going to concede." Well, NEVER, hopefully!!!
Our petition has reached tens of thousands of people directly with
truth and with optimism. Through newspaper and broadcast media
coverage, we've reached hundreds of thousands, or more. We've
really been successful in giving some counterweight to the Media
assumptions and the drumbeat calls for an anti-democratic conclusion
to Election 2000.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
This election is really not over yet, and there's still most of a
week before the calendar closes in. Our odds in the Florida Supreme
Court are still easily 50/50. Can we keep up the momentum? Do we
still care? Okay, let's show it! I know most of you have used up
your address book promoting the petition already. Other ways to
keep it going and growing include posting a note to online forums
and chat rooms. Tell any press who might listen.
And here's one more thing:
The Alan Colmes show on WEVD News Talk 1050 in New York City, has
scheduled me on the air to discuss the "Trust The People" petition
asking George W. Bush to concede, for tonight Thursday, December 7
at 11:00PM EST (8:00PM PST).
PLEASE HELP ME DEBATE WITH RICHARD VIGUERIE, AND CALL THE ALAN
COLMES SHOW TONIGHT!
The 'opposing party' for this show will be Richard Viguerie, the
nationally known conservative activist and fundraiser. In case you
don't remember him from the Ronald Reagan era, his web sites include
ConservativeHQ.com and ConcedeNow.com.
Alan Colmes is nationally known as the co-host of the Hannity and
Colmes show on the Fox News television channel. FYI, techologically
equipped people outside the New York City area should be able to
listen to the Alan Colmes show over the Internet. Follow the
RICHARD VIGUERIE IS APPARENTLY GOING TO CLAIM 30,000 SIGNATURES on
his anti-Gore petitions, although none of these signatures seem to
be viewable publicly. The relative number of signatures doesn't
_really_ mean anything -- but wouldn't you rather Gore had more?!
Please help spread the word - keep it going strong - Trust The
Best wishes to all,

PPS: This email is addressed to only to the petition signers (so
far) who made their email addresses public on the 'Trust The People'
petition, plus some others who have written to me directly, and a
few particular correspondents. I apologize in advance sincerely if
you get unwanted or duplicate copies of this update. That shouldn't
happen, but if it does, it's an unintentional effect of working
quickly with some rough addresses, given the urgency of the
situation. You can unsubscribe by sending an email message to

exactly "unsubscribe trustthepeople" without the quotation marks.
Thank you sincerely for your patience!
