Hello everyone still interested in Bagby Hot Springs and the organization that represents it: FOB Hot Springs.
Any one wishing to know the latest information can write me or John Walker, current President of FOB @ johnwak@juno.com.
Currently most of the trail side timbers have been set and the real grunt work will begin. We, as FOB are just observers, as it is a USFS contract, but we will all benefit because the trail wont be muddy; people wont have to slide off the trail when they are too dumb to have not brought a light or walk out with someone who did. The people who want to ruin it for the rest of us, taking up drugs/alcohol taking care of that with law enforcement. The Springs are being USFS serviced each day and law enforcement make rounds unannounced; with tickets and arrests by Clackamas County Sheriffs' and USFS Law Enforcement, (US Marshalls). It may seem like too much but more families have been coming up and fewer problems, please help by making the Springs' visit a pack it in/pack it out, enjoyable time.
See you there!
