Assistant Planner /Associate Planner
Long Range/Natural Resources Planning

$41,932 - $57,033 annually

Performs a variety of professional planning duties related to long-range and
natural resource planning. Provides information and assistance in the
implementation of Eugene's growth management policies including natural
resource planning and response to Endangered Species Act listing of salmon.
Responsibilities include development of natural resource protection
strategies and regulations, preparing citizen involvement programs,
assisting property owners and developers, preparing staff reports and visual
presentations, and research and analysis of land use regulations and
programs. May process land use applications that impact natural resources
such as endangered species, wetlands, and riparian areas. Requires
equivalent to a bachelor's degree with major course work in urban and
regional planning, environmental sciences, architecture, or a related field.
The position will be filled at either the Assistant level (some planning
experience desirable, plus relevant degree) or Associate level (minimum of
two years professional planning experience, plus relevant degree). CLOSING
