Dear SEN Board,
The city has scheduled a Frank Kinney Park Planning Workshop to be held on Thursday, November 21, 7-9pm, at the Parker Elementary School cafeteria.
The currently undeveloped park is three acres, located at West Amazon/Martin/Alpine.
Let's gather and discuss any related issues at our regular SEN Board Meeting next Tuesday, November 12, 7-9pm at Spencer Butte Middle School.
See you Tuesday! (And plz send over any/all potential agenda items...)

Hi Kevin - Here's a copy of the postcard that will be going out late this
week or early next week to about 900 peole w/in 1/2 mile of the park.
Please share this info with anyone you think might be interested. In a
nutshell, we have about $200k for neighborhood park improvements from the
1998 POS bond. Typcially a neighborhood park includes a children's
playground, paths, trees, benches, trash receptacles, etc. or some suitable
combination thereof. Some optional considerations are lights, jogging
paths, bridges, a picnic shelter, etc. I don't have any preliminary designs
- I think it's important to understand the needs/ desires of the
neighborhood as a first step. That's what Thursday's meeting will be all
about. We are, however, coordinating with Public Works Engineering on
stormwater improvements in the area, including some potential Amazon channel
water quality rehab, and I'll make sure someone is there who can help answer
questions about that piece. My direct line is listed below if anyone has
questions. See you then!
((Therese: I cc'd you in anticipation of a news release sometime between
now and 11/21 . . .))
